Haven House Counseling is considered out of network with insurance providers. However, we accept payment with HSA or FSA cards.
If you’d like to utilize your out of network benefits with insurance, you may do so.
We are partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically for you. With Thrizer, you will only have to pay a copay for our sessions, instead of paying the full fee and waiting for reimbursements.
This typically allows clients to save on average 70% upfront on our sessions.
During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your copay would be.
If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan, you will pay the full fee and will receive a paper check reimbursement in a few weeks.

In your first session, you and your therapist will discuss logistics of counseling, such as informed consent and scheduling. You and your therapist will also discuss what prompted you to try counseling and what you hope to gain from your sessions.
In following sessions, you and your therapist will spend time exploring and processing your life events, emotions, and personal experiences in order for you to gain insight and awareness about yourself. In your sessions, your therapist will strive to be compassionate, non-judgmental, and authentic with you. Your therapist will seek to equip you with support, resources, and skills to empower you as you progress towards your goals.
-
The majority of counseling sessions are 50 minutes (hour). Session length may vary based on specific counseling needs and special circumstances. We typically recommend weekly appointments when initially beginning counseling, as this allows for progress and effective conceptualization of your concerns. You and your therapist can work together to establish a helpful rhythm of counseling sessions that honors your resources and schedule.
-
The nature of counseling is individualized to each client, and with that, the length necessary for productive progress and healing varies from person to person. A good mark that you may be ready to graduate from counseling is if you have met your goals or comprehensively addressed your initial concerns that brought you to counseling. You and your therapist will collaboratively develop a plan that addresses your unique concerns and goals on a timeline that is personalized to you.

A good faith estimate (GFE) shows the list of expected charges for items or services from your provider or facility. Because the good faith estimate is based on information known at the time your provider or facility creates the estimate, it won’t include any unknown or unexpected costs that may be added during your treatment.
